Why the honesty is the product
The easy version of this application already exists.
You can build a swing analyser in a few weeks that prints a club head speed, a swing plane in degrees and a tidy score out of a hundred, from a single clip filmed at any angle. Every one of those numbers can be produced. None of them can be justified. The gap between producing a number and justifying it is where this company intends to live.
Club golfers are the people most exposed to that gap. Somebody with access to a launch monitor can check a claim in a minute. Somebody filming on a phone in a net in the garage has no way to know that the swing plane figure moved four degrees because they nudged the tripod, not because they changed anything. Confident software teaches that person the wrong lesson and takes a subscription fee for it.
What that costs us
A screen with empty fields on it looks worse than a screen full of figures. A confidence band looks like hedging. Refusing to print a speed means losing the comparison with competitors who do print one, and losing it on the exact metric most people look for first. We have decided that is the trade, and writing it on a public page before launch is how we stop ourselves quietly reversing it.
How you would catch us
The table on the home page names every signal and states its confidence. If the shipped application ever shows a figure that table calls impossible, or drops a confidence band that used to be there, the table and the application disagree and you can say so in public. That is the point of publishing it early.

Illustrative, not shipped
The figures and screens described anywhere on this site are how the application is being designed to behave. None of it is a screenshot of a shipping product, because there is no shipping product. Where anything on this site turns out to be wrong once the first build lands, this site changes.

Not a health service
Golf swing software sits one careless sentence away from health advice. A phrase such as "this pattern causes lower back pain" is a clinical claim, and this company is not qualified to make one. AI Golf Coach does not diagnose, treat, prevent or manage any injury or condition, does not infer that you are injured, and will point you at a qualified practitioner rather than a drill whenever pain is mentioned.
Not a data business
There is an obvious second business in a corpus of swing videos, and we are not building it. No video is sold, no dataset is licensed, and no third party is given access to recordings. The revenue model is people paying for the application, which keeps the incentives pointed the same way as yours.
Not a coach
A camera and a model can describe what a body did. Deciding what to change about it, in what order, for a particular person, is coaching, and a good coach beats this application at that comfortably. The intended use is between lessons, to see whether the thing your coach asked for actually happened.
