AI Golf Coach reads a golf swing from ordinary phone video. A single lens at an unknown angle measures some things well, estimates others loosely, and cannot reach the rest at all. This site sets out which is which before you install anything.
The constraint
A phone films a swing in two dimensions. A swing happens in three.
Everything below follows from that one sentence. A single lens records where things appeared to be from where it was standing. Depth is reconstructed afterwards by a model that has never seen your body, using assumptions about human proportion that hold on average and fail on individuals.

Measured, and worth trusting
Frame timing is the thing a video genuinely measures. Record at 120 frames per second and the interval between the top of the backswing and impact is known to roughly eight milliseconds, which makes the ratio of backswing to downswing a real number rather than an impression.
Positions inside the flat picture are also observed rather than guessed. Lateral movement of the head across the frame, the moment the trail heel leaves the ground, and how far the hands travel before the hips start to turn are all readable from the pixels, provided the camera itself did not move.

Estimated, with the error stated
Joint angles and body rotation come from a pose model that places landmarks on the picture and then lifts them into a depth guess. That lift is constrained by average human proportion, so it degrades when the camera is high, low, close, or off the target line, and it degrades further for a body shape the training data under represents.
Our commitment is narrow and testable. Every derived angle appears with a confidence band and a plain warning when the camera position makes it unreliable, and the application refuses to print a figure it cannot stand behind rather than printing a confident wrong one.

Not produced at all
Club head speed, ball speed, spin rate, launch angle, smash factor, face angle at impact and carry distance are not recoverable from a phone clip. At thirty frames per second the club head crosses well over a metre between exposures near impact, and what lands on the sensor is a smear rather than an object.
Software that prints a speed in miles per hour from a phone video is inferring it from body motion and presenting the inference as a reading. That is a marketing decision, not a technical one. This application will leave those fields empty and say why.

Nothing is hidden behind a premium tier. The right hand column exists because the honest answer to several of these rows is that you need different hardware, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a worse substitute.

Why the angle matters
Four unknowns sit between the lens and any number.
Where the camera is standing
Down the line and face on are two different views of the same swing, and each hides what the other shows. A camera three metres behind you and waist high reads the swing plane reasonably and the shoulder turn badly. Move it square to your chest and the pair swap places. Almost nobody sets up on the exact line, so most real footage sits somewhere between the two, and the model has to guess how far.
What lens it used
Phones switch between wide, main and telephoto cameras without telling the application which one produced the frame, and each has a different distortion profile. A wide lens at two metres stretches whatever is nearest to it, which at address is usually your hands. Where the file records a focal length we use it. Where it does not, that is another band of uncertainty.
How the sensor reads out
Most phone sensors expose one row of pixels at a time from top to bottom rather than the whole frame at once. Anything moving fast enough leans over in the picture. A club at speed can appear bent, and a leaning shaft that was never leaning is exactly the kind of artefact that turns into a confident wrong reading if nobody accounts for it.
How many frames it captured
Thirty frames per second is the default on many devices and is not enough for the fast part of a golf swing. Sixty is better. One hundred and twenty is the point at which impact timing becomes solid. The application will read the actual frame rate from the file, tell you what that rate rules out, and offer to walk you through switching it before you record again.
What this is not
AI Golf Coach is not a launch monitor and does not estimate ball flight. It is not a medical device, not a physiotherapy service, and not a substitute for one. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent or manage any injury, pain or condition, and it will not tell you that your back hurts because of your swing. If something hurts, see a qualified health practitioner rather than an application on a phone.
Your video
Video of a person is the most sensitive thing this company could ever hold.
Everything else on this site is about accuracy. This part is about restraint, and it is written into the privacy policy rather than left as a promise on a marketing page.
Analysis runs on your phone by default
Pose estimation is designed to run inside the application on the device that recorded the clip. In that mode the video never leaves the phone, no frame is transmitted, and what the application keeps is a short list of numbers describing joint positions over time.
Uploading is a separate decision each time
Where a device cannot run the model, or where you ask a human to look at a swing, a recording has to be sent to a server. That is never automatic, never a background sync, and never the price of using the application. It is a per recording choice with the retention period shown on the same screen as the button.
Your swing does not become training data by default
No video, no frame and no derived pose sequence of yours is used to train or improve any model unless you have given separate, specific, revocable consent for that purpose. Consent to be analysed is not consent to be learned from, and bundling the two in one checkbox is the practice this paragraph exists to rule out.
No face recognition, no health inference
The application does not identify anyone by their face or their body, does not build a biometric template, and does not infer health, injury, disability, age, gender or any other characteristic about you. Faces are blurred on the device before any upload is offered.
Deletion means deletion
A recording can be deleted from inside the application at any time. Where a copy reached a server it is removed within seven days of the request and expires from backups on their ordinary rotation. We do not mark a record deleted and keep the file.
Status
Nothing has shipped.
The company is newly registered. There is no application in any store, no download figure, no user, no customer, no award and no funding round. Everything described on this page is what is being built, stated in advance so it can be held against us later.
